The 1002 X-Cell 60 Quick Silver kit was a 1001 X-Cell 60 kit combined with the 2500 Quick Silver fuselage. The 1002 kit was shown in the 1990 X-Cell catalogue but does not appear in my 1996 catalogue. The 2500 fuselage kit is still shown in the current catalogue.
The kit was designed around the bent frame 60 using a 30" tail boom format.
Made of epoxy construction, no bulkheads. Came white epoxy primed. Added about 8 ounces to the total weight.
Additional notes:
The bent frame version of the 1001 was also available in a "white frame" version #1001W . This version included White main frames, tail boom, boom supports, strut supports, elevator plate, struts & skids.
When the "white frame" version of the 1001was first released (circa 1990) it was called a #1005. (Not to be confused with the later 1005 X-Cell Gas graphite
