American RCH Inc Commander (1979)
Schlüter Heli-Boy copy with collective pitch head but noted to be slightly heavier though was considered to fly quite well. Tail drive pulley's were not well designed being a bit sharp causing premature belt wear and needed to be rounded off. Two version of this head was available however, comment of the day was not necessarily favourable due to inexperience with this system especially with regards to making a set of wooden blades that were correctly weighted and CG corrected. It also required a higher than normal head speed which was not appreciated and in many respects not possible, given that wooden blades would be used. The model certainly had an unusual way of mounting the vertical fin behind the tail rotor assembly.
