Forth in the Kalt range and another scale model utilising the Kalt 'Flatbed' mechanics with fixed pitch rotor head.

Nürnberg 1975

Presented at the Nürnberg show though not under the Kalt name but on an importers stand (MRC); no further info available after that in the European market anyway.

By the end of the 70's, fixed pitch control had generally been assigned to 'trainers' and so the JetRanger was upgrade to take a collective pitch head and autorotation clutch.  In line with Kalt's policy the kit was provided without a rotor head and the customer chose the specification of the head themselves.  For this later model the OS 50H became the minimum size recommended engine however as the model already had the '500' tally as it was a Hughes 500 the name could not be amended to differentiate from the original fixed pitch version.

In 1980 a four blade head was also available for the model though no info on the head is available.

By 1981 the flatbed mechanics had been upgraded with autorotation and the basic kit was marketed to include the K-1SB rotor head assembly as noted in the photo's below.
