HIROBO JetRanger

The JetRanger was introduced in1977 as one of the first Hirobo scale range of models for the common 'Flatbed' mechanics system for 40 size engines.

The following year it was decided to introduce a larger version and like the Huey of 77 this was for 60 size engines and so a much larger body was required.

In 1981 the flatbed mechanics for the 60 size was discontinued and replaced with a 'scale' SST mechanics and followed three years later with the upgraded DDF head.

The JetRanger was also provided as a scale fuselage for the Shuttle and additionally, though much later, in the Long Ranger variant.
