HIROBO Bell_UH-1B 'Huey'

The Bell_UH-1B, commonly known as a 'Huey', was introduced in 1977 as one of Hirobo's first scale range of models for the common 'Flatbed' mechanics system and for 40 size engines.

Later that year it was decided to provide a larger model for 60 size engines which required a complete new body and as the head assembly was also revised it was given a 'proper' Huey look so as to increase scale fidelity.

A large 'Large' scale version was then produced along similar lines of the previous large models of the Lama and the Bell 47.

With the advert on plastic for model construction, the S30 mechanics from the 30 size Lama were additionally modified and a fuselage suitable for this size of engine was produced and had good scale fidelity.
