Plastic Head block:
The original X-Cell head assembly was plastic. Although similar to today's plastic head assemblies, several minor differences have been applied.

The early plastic blade grips were not as beefy as the current plastic units. They also did not have the 2 mixer mounting holes to allow for delta setup.

The original head block did not have the static tracking setscrews.

The 0289 plastic head block was used on:

All 1001 models
The model 1003 through 1998
The model 1004 through 1997
All 1005 models
All 1008 models
All 1010 models

Metal head block

 The Pro II metal head was introduced with the Pro II model and immediately became popular. The Pro II head block was used in conjunction with both the plastic blade grips and the metal blade grips.

The 0844 metal head block with 0317 plastic blade grips was used on the 1999 to 2002 1003 CT.

The 0844 metal head block with 0844 metal blade grips was used on the 1999 to current 1004 Graphite SE

Bell mixers

 The original plastic bell mixers had a double ball on one side, and a single on the other.  The current units use two single long balls. The older style mixers used the "short" thread balls, and overall shorter mixer plastic bodies.

The 0333 bell mixer was used with the plastic blade grips on:

1003 models through 1998
All 1005 models
All 1008 models
All 1010 models

The 106 bell mixers on  plastic blade grips were used on:

The 1999 through 2002 1003 CT
The 1004 model through 1997

The 0840 bell mixers were used with the metal blade grips on the 1004 model 1998 to current.

Fly bar components

 The original  fly bar cradle on the plastic head block was 1-sided and used bushings for support. The axle shaft only protruded out one side of the head block. This was soon replaced with the symmetrical unit used on today's plastic head block.

The 0307 fly bar control arm was used on:

1004 models through 1997
All 1008 models
All 1010 models

The dropped 0848 control arm was used on the 1998 to current 1004 models.

Paddles

The original 0311 paddles were relatively small and were solid plastic. These were used on the first 1001 and 1008 kits.

The 0561 Pro paddles had removable weights to control head stability. There were 5 brass inserts used to vary the weight of each paddle. The 0561 paddles were used with:

The 1004 1994 through 1998
