TSK Blades

TSK did not supply rotor blades with their helicopters as given the wide range available it was considered that pilots who bought a TSK would also have a strong preference for blades of their own choice.  However in 1992 when TSK UK was formed and because there was no previous operating experience in the UK they decided to also import a range of high quality Japanese manufactured FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) main and tail blades which had already been flight proven; in this way it would ensure that the TSK reputation would not be 'tarnished' by operation with poorly matched blades.  The blades covered the initially imported TSK range as it was considered that after a few years 'UK' generally available blades would have been tested and suitable ones identified in lieu of the TSK UK supplied items.  These were at the top end of expensive but if you could afford a TSK then a few pounds more for good blades would be money well spent.
