Vintage RC Helicopters - Joe's collection - TSK Joe's TSK Collection Joe William Richardson TSK Blackstar DL Jan 10; requires general check. TSK Fivestar 30 V2 Bought Mar 10 in flying condition so given a good check over and set up ready for testing. TSK Mystar 30 Jan 10; stripped down for storage. TSK Mystar 46 Jan 10; complete but tripped down for storage TSK Mystar 60 Bought in Jan 10 as part of a job lot and comprised of a near complete Mystar 60 with carbon frames but had suffered a boom strike so bits like boom, U/C, Canopy and a few metal parts damaged beyond repair or missing. Also a has a near complete original metal body model. Parts still available but canopy and U/C nearly £130 so intend to rebuild into a scale '60' size fuselage, probably a Hughes 500. TSK Acro Star Mar 08 - Had received a full restoration prior to buying and though engine seemed OK with good compression; it would start easily but not run well. Managed a few hovering hops but engine compression now much lower than at start of testing. Engine removed and liner piston was badly damaged around the exhaust area so I suspect the previous builder had used something jammed in the port to tightened the crankshaft nut. Once I ran the engine the burrs damaged the piston etc beyond repair (buyer beware eh). Fitted new 'old type' Webra 61 which had the correct diameter output shaft (modern engines are to big for the clutch fittings). Top of Page (VRHC - Vintage Radio controlled HeliCopters) |
