Vintage RC Helicopters - Joe's Collection - Micro-Mold (MM) (Micro Mold) Joe's Collection - Micro-Mold (MM) Joe William Richardson MM Lark 25 (Linnet) Bought in 08 , an original Lark 25 with the MM 'linnet' body kit that converted the Lark into a stand-off (over the fields and far away) scale Hughes 300. This one is fitted with floats and has a modern SC engine that is still to run in. Partially stripped for checking and very little found wrong though because of wear in the plastic the tail gears have more play then I would have liked. Additionally the servo's and linkages have a bit of play however they are 'period' so intend to see what it responds like once running. as such in Jan 09 attempted to test it but engine was very difficult to start and keep running; appear to need removal from the helicopter and perhaps running in on a test stand first as starting and a Lark is not the easiest of things. MM Lark 25 In May 09 purchased as a 'part' started new Kit MM Lark 2-25 Bought off E-bay in Jul 09 and is a reasonable condition airframe though no radio gear fitted and engine looks like it might be down on compression plus clutch internals are missing (damn). Awaiting restoration. MM Lark 2-25 In Jul 09 I purchased a couple of 2-25's from E-bay; one as an incomplete project and the other as crashed and mangled. When inspected the former looks like an engine had never been fitted and suspect that this had been built as a 'static' display model. Because of this all the bits for fitting an engine plus the clutch etc are missing however they should be salvageable from the 'crash' job making a full rebuild viable; or maybe a 'retro' electric with 600 brushed motor....???? MM Lark 2-40 In May 09 purchased a new kit; what a find? MM 'Wallis' autogyro Near complete part built new kit from E-bay in Feb 11. Top of Page (VRHC - Vintage Radio controlled HeliCopters) |
