Vintage RC Helicopters - Joe's Collection - Ishimasa Joe's Collection - Ishimasa Joe William Richardson Ishimasa Skylark Mk1 Bought 2008 and is an original model with Rheostat type speed controller but no radio gear fitted. To be rebuilt with a modern speed controller, radio gear, piezo rate gyro and fitted for an eight cell flight battery. Stripped down pending rebuild. Ishimasa Skylark Mk1 Bought July 09 and is an original model with Rheostat type speed controller and period radio gear fitted. Probably try and rebuild this one with all the original gear if at all possible. Ishimasa Skylark Mk2 Bought in Mar 09 and has upgraded head with both Bell and Hiller control though still fixed pitch. Also has modern upgraded brushed motors and electronic speed controller along with clamps for fitting an eight cell flight battery plus modern (ish) radio gear and a piezo rate gyro. Currently having problems keeping the tail drive 'O' belt on the drive pulley because the upgraded motors are deeper so the drive pulley is mounted lower and the angle of pull on the 'O' drive causes it to slip off. perhaps an idler wheel is required?? Ishimasa Playboy As of Jun 10 I have three of these; one complete as above, another without engine, radio gear and fitted with an early Shuttle head and finally the third which is a near complete airframe but damaged in a number of places. From these it should be possible to build one good one and perhaps another full one. This model appears to have been based on the 20 baron but incorporating the Ishimasa rotor head design.
